COVIDsafe at AES
While mask-wearing requirements have been lifted for some settings, the Tasmanian Government still requires that masks be worn indoors at high schools, colleges and university settings. As AES is a vocational education provider, this means that for now, for classroom training, trainers and their participants still need to wear a mask:
AES requires all course participants to continue to wear face masks indoors at our training facilities. This applies to everyone unless a valid mask wearing exemption is held.
AES Trainers are required to wear a mask when indoors at training facilities.
A mask is not required to be worn during outdoor practical training activities, unless the individual wishes to.
We have a cap on numbers permitted in our training rooms, understanding that the more space between you and others, the harder it is for the virus to spread.
Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 reduces the risk of severe illness. Our staff and trainers are fully vaccinated and we ask that course participants are, too.
If you have cold or flu like symptoms please get tested for COVID-19, advise AES and do not attend any training for which you are registered until you have a negative test result confirmed.
